Narrative history
  258949 Private (28th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment) William Jasper Benson (b.1895) of Cabri was KIA 19181011 at Thun-Saint-Martin and is buried at Iwuy communal cemetery northeast of Cambrai, Nord, France. He was the son of Henry H. Benson who came from Bellingham, Lac qui Parle Co., Minnesota, to homestead SE1-19-19-W3 south of Cabri. William was farming when he was drafted early in 1918.
